The Jolly Tar - Hannington, Wiltshire
DescriptionThe Jolly Tar, a former farmhouse, opened in 1855 on a licence transferred from a pub called The Cat, and, Ironically there was one in the village called the dog. It is a local pub with a welcoming atmosphere. We offer award winning accommodation and traditional home-cooked food locally sourced from Cirencester. We serve food Tuesday to Sunday evenings and Wednesday to Sunday lunchtimes. Our bar and restaurant are best described as traditional and cosy. With a real fireplace and the most comfortable in furnishings, our bar area is the ideal place to relax with friends, or a pint and a paper. Our new chef has a huge selection on offer, with new dishes every month. Also, once a week we have a German Specials board for you to choose from. Our outside terrace is the perfect place to enjoy al fresco dining during the wonderful summer months and the conservatory is a perfect venue for business meetings, with large grounds, ample parking and a spacious patio area. Children are more than welcome to join their parents in our pub and we even have a menu for our important small guests. Pets are more than welcome in our public bar and patio area. They are also welcome to stay with you in the accommodation but we do have a policy that they are kept under control and do not come into the restaurant area for the comfort of our other diners. Sunday nights are our activity evening, with activities ranging from quizzes to bingo nights to live music. Our philosophy is value for money and we always deliver quality food at competitive prices. We want you to feel at home in our pub and we will do all we can to make sure you do, so see you ‘jolly’ soon.
