The Globe public house on London road opened in October 2001 after extensive refurbishment and gets its name from the Globe cinema, which was adjacent to the site and closed, in1972. It serves a varied selection of traditional hand pulled ales from both local microbreweries and quality regional brewers, including the Nottingham Brewery in Radford, and the Magpie Brewery, which is brewed just across the road at Ashling Court just behind Nott’s County football ground. It also serves a selection of lagers and a comprehensive wine list. Food is only served on match days and is limited to a selection of rolls however our function room can accommodate up to 100 people a buffet menu can be arranged to suit all pockets and tastes. All sky football matches, including premier plus are shown in the bar which has a large plasma screen and three other televisions A big screen is also available in the function room. We are situated two minutes from Trent Bridge and ten minutes from the city on foot, on the island next to London Road into the city. Adjoining the pub is a large floodlit car park covered all times by CCTV so next time you are in the area please call into see us, we will be only too pleased to see you.
